Java Lead Developer – Finance Technology\n\nWe’re seeking a Java Lead Developer to join our FORT team to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, enterprise‑grade reporting and analytics solutions on a greenfield project.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Architect and implement robust software systems using Java, Angular, and other modern technologies, ensuring best practices in SDLC, code quality, and performance.\n- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to define requirements, evaluate tools, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with business goals.\n- Drive the adoption of GenAI, Copilot, and AI‑driven development practices to enhance automation, reporting, and developer productivity.\n- Mentor and lead a high‑performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.\n- Manage stakeholder relationships, communicate project status, and proactively address risks and challenges.\n- Promote agile methodologies, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.\n- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and champion their adoption where relevant.\n\nQualifications\n\n- At least 8+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.\n- Experience with Angular or React as secondary front‑end frameworks.\n- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and modern SDLC practices.\n- Proven experience building and scaling enterprise‑level applications, preferably in cloud environments.\n- Proficiency in additional languages and frameworks (Python, SQL, databases, etc.) and ability to quickly learn new tech stacks.\n- Demonstrated experience leveraging GenAI, Copilot, or AI‑based tools for software development, automation, or reporting.\n- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.\n- Experience leading and motivating high‑performing teams and managing stakeholder relationships in a global environment.\n- Prior experience in finance, investment banking, or related domains.\n- Business acumen and ability to drive innovation and business impact through technology.\n- Experience with automated testing and testing frameworks.\n- Familiarity with Power BI, Apache Airflow, OLAP tools, and workflow automation.\n- Experience with tool evaluation, POC delivery, and greenfield project leadership.\n- Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and delivering business impact through technology.\n\nWhat you can expect: The company offers an inclusive, collaborative environment with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.\n\nMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunity employer committed to building and maintaining a workforce that is diverse in experience and background.
