Design Engineer

Job Description:

• Mechanical /Automotive Engineer with Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in product development, good truck application knowledge and understanding of cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience in design, development and documentation of frames and cross members / chassis mounted components / cabin suspension /Steering System of Automotive Commercial Vehicle, Preferably Trucks
• Experienced engineer with a proven track record of engineering deliveries.
• Proficient in CAD tools / Creo.
• Experience Working in Kola Would be added advantage
• Good communication skills.
• Team player mindset and flexibility are key to succeed in this role.
• Engineers With Short notice is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and verify technical solutions on subsystem or submodule level, working with a long-term perspective requiring a holistic view of maintenance, projects and Advanced Engineering within Chassis Engineering.
• Create and mature cross-functionally agreed concepts that align with the product and project objectives and with Product System Roadmaps.
• Ensure correct specification of form, fit, functionality with due diligence of durability and performance.
• Develop solutions with external aggregate suppliers.
• Create Engineering drawings, technical requirements, product structure and release them to production.
• Produce time and activity plan, identifying the need of resources for a certain development assignment aligning with overall plan from project management.
• Follow up quality status and participate in design reviews; to participate in risk analysis, root cause analysis and FMEAs.
• Utilize existing engineering tools and comply with methods/processes.
• Identify and implement best practice engineering processes.
• Highlight risks and escalate to bring needed attention to solve problems.
