ABOUT

• The Business Development Executive is responsible for the sales performance and the profitability of the Traditional Trade / General trade Channel (as defined by Company) for the assigned Territory within a region (defined by Company as North, East, West, South and Central). He/she assist the Area Sales Manager (ASM) in delivering the overall regional sales objectives, supervises, fine-tunes and monitors the execution and takes pro-active initiatives to cease every opportunity to increase the sales in accordance with the companies' policies and strategies.

 

ANNUAL/DAY-TO-DAY BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

1. Business Objectives:

• Achieve volume and value targets within budget and policy guidelines.

• Execute strategic alliances, promotions, and merchandising plans to ensure visibility and shelf dominance.

• Assist ASM in sales forecasting and market potential analysis.

• Train and develop distributor sales teams; provide timely feedback.

 

2. Financial Management

• Document trade expenses and ensure audit compliance.

• Settle distributor and outlet claims promptly; submit NOCs as required.

• Track efficiency of investments and promotional spends.

 

3. Distributor Management

• Appoint and evaluate distributors; monitor inventory and claim settlements.

• Maintain distributor health through routing optimization, stock control, and MIS compliance.

• Generate primary orders and weekly indents to maintain stock levels.

 

4. Outlet Execution

• Ensure gold-standard merchandising and implement planograms.

• Maintain outlet database and company assets.

• Execute visibility initiatives, promotional schemes, and POP displays.

 

5. Market & Competition Analysis

• Track competitor activities and provide actionable insights.

 

6. Reporting & Compliance

• Deliver accurate MIS reports and monitor secondary sales. • Conduct regular reviews and take corrective actions for deviations.
