This senior leadership role will be located in Bangalore, India, and will report to the CTO.\n\nThe role will be responsible for driving engineering culture, talent development, and operational excellence.

While the role's primary focus will be on India Engineering, where most of our engineering talent is located, the role will have ownership and impact on engineering excellence across the entire engineering department located in India, the US, Canada, and Mexico.\nYou will collaborate with Directors of Engineering in a matrix organization, ensuring alignment between functional goals and strategic initiatives while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a strong engineering leader with a proven track record in scaling high performing teams and delivering impactful results. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a world-class engineering team while shaping the future of our India operations.\n\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\n\nEngineering Leadership:\nDrive engineering excellence - culture, code quality, and performance.\nEstablish best practices for engineering execution, process improvements, and innovation.\nParticipate in architectural discussions and provide feedback.\n\nMatrix Organization Management:\nCollaborate with Directors of Engineering to co-manage engineering teams.\nServe as a mentor and career growth coach for Engineering Managers and individual contributors.\nResolve cross-functional challenges and ensure smooth collaboration across teams.\n\nTalent Development and Scaling:\nRecruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent, primarily in India.\nFoster a high-performing team culture that prioritizes collaboration, accountability, and results.\nLead initiatives to upskill existing teams and prepare for future organizational growth.\n\nOperational Excellence:\nOwn India engineering operations, ensuring alignment with global goals.\nCollaborate with the VP of Product and Customer Success, and guide operating their teams in India - Product Managers, Support, and CS.\nPartner with HR to implement effective hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies.\n\nStakeholder Collaboration:\nWork closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, HR, customer services, and senior leadership, to ensure the delivery of strategic goals.\nRegularly communicate progress, challenges, and insights to global leadership.\n\nRequirements:\n12+ years of experience total.\nHas managed 15+ Engineers and 3+ Engineering Managers.\nAbility to travel to the US at least once a year.\nExperience working for a US-based company.\n\nLeadership Skills:\nProven ability in building and leading high-performance engineering teams.\nExperience managing and mentoring engineering managers.\nExperience working in a matrix organization is preferred.\nExceptional skills in mentoring, team building, and cross-functional collaboration.\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nFull-stack or DevOps + backend engineering, Python, and AWS expertise.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or related technical fields.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr
