Head – Investment Banking\nLocation\nMumbai / Delhi / Bengaluru\nReporting To\nManaging Director / Founder / Board\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Head – Investment Banking to lead and scale the firm's Investment Banking practice. The role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in originating and executing M&A, Private Equity, Debt Syndication, Structured Finance, IPO, QIP, and Strategic Advisory transactions.\nThe incumbent will be responsible for building and managing client relationships, driving deal origination, leading transaction execution teams, developing sector-focused strategies, and growing the firm's revenue and market presence.\nThis is a leadership role for professionals who view themselves as business builders and are capable of managing a profit center with full accountability for revenue generation, client acquisition, team development, and transaction execution.\n\nKey Responsibilitie\nsDeal Origination & Business Developmen\ntDrive origination of M&A, Private Equity, Strategic Advisory, Capital Raising, Debt Syndication, Structured Finance, IPO, Pre-IPO, QIP, and other investment banking mandates\n.Develop and maintain strong relationships with Promoters, Family Offices, PE/VC Funds, Institutional Investors, Corporate CXOs, Banks, NBFCs, and Industry Leaders\n.Build sector-focused deal pipelines and generate new business opportunities through proactive coverage\n.Identify emerging industry trends, consolidation opportunities, strategic partnerships, and capital market transactions\n.Lead client pitches, mandate discussions, commercial negotiations, and engagement closures\n.Achieve annual origination and revenue targets for the Investment Banking practice\nClient Coverage & Relationship Managemen\ntAct as a trusted advisor to promoters, boards, investors, and senior management teams\n.Build long-term strategic relationships with existing and prospective clients\n.Provide strategic advice on growth, fundraising, acquisitions, divestitures, succession planning, and capital structure optimization\n.Ensure exceptional client experience and repeat business generation\nTransaction Leadership & Executio\nnLead end-to-end execution of complex transactions including\n:Mergers & Acquisition\nsPrivate Equity and Venture Capital Raise\nsDebt Syndication and Structured Financ\neStrategic Partnerships and Joint Venture\nsIPO, QIP and Capital Market Transaction\nsCorporate Restructuring and Special Situation\nsOversee financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiations, and deal closure\n.Coordinate with legal advisors, auditors, consultants, investors, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle\n.Ensure timely execution while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards\nPractice Building & Leadershi\npBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing Investment Banking team\n.Develop sector specialization and institutional knowledge across the organization\n.Drive recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and capability building\n.Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and entrepreneurial M&A Advisory, Private Equity, Capital Markets, or related domain\ns.Demonstrated success in independently originating and closing transaction\ns.Established network among promoters, corporate groups, PE/VC funds, family offices, institutional investors, banks, and financial sponsor\ns.Proven track record of meeting revenue and business development target\ns.Experience leading large transaction
