Role Summary
The AVEVA PI Migration & Support Lead will be responsible for end to end delivery of PI System implementation , migration initiatives and steady state support services for industrial data historian platforms. The role will operate within a System Integrator delivery model, ensuring adherence to delivery governance, quality standards, SLAs, and client engagement expectations.
The role will work closely with client stakeholders, OT/IT teams, and third party vendors to ensure successful migration, stabilization, and ongoing support of the AVEVA PI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
1. Migration Delivery & Transition
• Own and execute AVEVA PI migration workstreams as part of a larger transformation or modernization program
• Perform as is system assessment covering PI Data Archive, AF models, interfaces, and client tools
• Define migration approach, plans, and timelines aligned with client change management and release calendars
• Execute migration activities including:
o PI Data Archive upgrades / consolidations
o AF model migration and rationalization
o Interface and connector migration and validation
o PI Vision and client tool upgrades
• Ensure data integrity, continuity, and performance throughout migration lifecycle
• Support cutover, go live, and hypercare phases

2. AVEVA PI System Implementation & Engineering
• Design and implement scalable and secure AVEVA PI architectures
• Configure and manage:
o PI Data Archive and Collectives
o PI Asset Framework (AF)
o PI Vision
o Interfaces and connectors (OPC, PI Connectors, etc.)
• Ensure systems meet availability, performance, and cybersecurity requirements
• Apply Infosys and customers engineering and documentation standards

3. Application & Platform Support (L2 / L3)
• Provide ongoing support for AVEVA PI platforms post-migration
• Diagnose and resolve:
o Data latency, data gaps, and interface failures
o AF calculation or modeling issues
o User access and PI Vision issues
• Execute incident, problem, and change management activities aligned with ITIL
• Meet agreed SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics

4. Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Management
• Act as technical point of contact for PI-related engagements
• Participate in:
o Design reviews
o Client governance and delivery reviews
• Provide status updates, risk reporting, and mitigation plans
• Work with AVEVA and third party vendors when required

5. Documentation & Knowledge Enablement
• Create and maintain:
o Solution architecture documents
o Migration runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
o Support and troubleshooting guides
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to client teams and offshore/onshore support teams

Mandatory Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in AVEVA PI System, including:
o PI Data Archive
o PI Asset Framework (AF)
o PI Vision
o PI Interfaces and Connectors
• Proven experience delivering PI upgrades or migration programs
• Experience with industrial data sources (DCS, PLC, SCADA, OPC)
• Good understanding of Windows Server, AD, security, and networking basics
