Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing Strategy & Market Intelligence
• Contribute to establishing and formalizing the SED purchasing policy for each commodity locally.
• Monitor market evolution and perform purchasing marketing analysis.
• Control procurement costs and propose solutions to improve competitiveness and meet program objectives.
Supplier Identification, Evaluation & Negotiation
• Identify and evaluate new sources and suppliers to support Safran India's localization targets.
• Launch RFQs with identified suppliers; lead negotiations in collaboration with commodity leaders within Safran entities.
• Organize and conduct supplier selection committees with cross functional stakeholders.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by sourcing parts to suitable suppliers across the involved commodities.
Contracting & Supplier Management
• Formalize and contribute to the establishment of purchasing contracts, including:
• General Terms Agreements (GTAs)
• Price & Logistics Agreements
• Manage contracts with existing suppliers and ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
• Ensure regular communication with suppliers and obtain timely order acknowledgments.
• Manage supplier feedback and coordinate resolution of supplier queries.
• Maintain accurate data in dedicated trackers and procurement systems.
Operational Coordination
• Assign purchasing and scheduling responsibilities based on business requirements.
• Work proactively to optimize purchasing costs and improve supplier performance.
• Coordinate locally and centrally with Quality, SPM, Planning, Engineering, and Project teams to support business activities.

Required Skills & Experience
• 12~16 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or commodity management.
• Strong skills in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract handling.
• Proven experience in cross functional coordination.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret cost trends and market insights.
• Experience in supplier communication, acknowledgments, and issue tracking.
• Fluency in Kannada is required.
• Ability to work onsite at the customer's captive location in Bangalore.
