In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing trade operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of trade finance instruments, export/import documentation, and commodity trading practices. This position offers a great opportunity for professional growth within a leading commodity trading organization.\n\nResponsibilities:\nManage and execute end-to-end trade operations, adhering to established procedures and timelines.\nPrepare, review, and process export and import documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.\nHandle Letter of Credit (LC) processing, including application preparation, document negotiation, and discrepancy resolution.\nCoordinate trade settlements, ensuring timely and accurate payments.\nAdminister trade contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.\nManage laytime, demurrage, and detention calculations and claims.\nCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including traders, brokers, suppliers, customers, and banks.\nEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.\nFor Team Lead roles: Supervise, mentor, and train team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.\nFor Team Lead roles: Manage and oversee the full trading operations.\n\nKey Skills and Qualifications:\nAny bachelors/ master’s degree\nMinimum 2 years of experience in trade operations or a similar role within the commodity trading industry.\nStrong knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) mechanisms, export/import documentation, and trade settlements.\nFamiliarity with trade contracts and Incoterms.\nUnderstanding of FOSFA, GAFTA, and PORAM regulations and practices.\nExperience with commodity trading, laytime, demurrage, and detention.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nProficiency in trade-related software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.\nFor Team Lead roles: Proven experience in people management and team leadership.\nGood knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trading processes.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in handling commodity, edible oils, grains.\nExperience with trading systems and platforms.\n\nBonus Points:\nExperience with any specific trade execution platforms.\nKnowledge of additional languages is relevant to commodity trading.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nPositive Employee Ratings: Bunge's culture is rated highly by employees.
