Job Description

The Regional Managing Director – India will be responsible for building and leading EMAGE’s India transmission business from 0→1.\nThe ideal candidate should come from a leading EPC / transmission infrastructure organization (such as Larsen & Toubro, KEC, Kalpataru, Sterlite Power, Tata Projects, etc.), with a strong technical foundation in transmission engineering and extensive experience managing large-scale transmission EPC or program portfolios.\nThis role requires a rare combination of:\nEngineering understanding\nEPC execution capability\nCommercial mindset\nGovernment/utility stakeholder management\nBOT/TBCB infrastructure understanding\nEntrepreneurial leadership\n\nKey Responsibilities\nMarket Development & Strategy\nLead EMAGE’s India market entry and long-term regional strategy\nIdentify opportunities across transmission EPC, BOT/TBCB and grid modernization sectors\nDevelop relationships with:\nUtilities\nDevelopers\nEPC partners\nGovernment stakeholders\nInvestors\nEstablish EMAGE’s local industry presence and brand recognition\n\nEPC & Program Leadership\nLead large-scale transmission EPC and infrastructure programs\nOversee project lifecycle from:\nbidding\ndesign\nengineering\nprocurement\nconstruction\nenergization\nBuild strong local delivery capability and supply-chain networks\nEnsure commercial, technical and delivery performance\n\nTechnical & Engineering Leadership\nProvide strategic technical direction on:\ntransmission line engineering\nsubstations\nuprating\nadvanced conductor solutions\nSupport localization and deployment of EMAGE’s next-generation transmission technologies\nBridge engineering solutions with commercial opportunities\n\nBOT / TBCB Business Development\nSupport identification and evaluation of BOT/TBCB transmission investment opportunities\nParticipate in:\nproject structuring\nconsortium building\nstrategic partnerships\ninvestment discussions\nDrive long-term infrastructure growth opportunities\n\nTeam Building & Organizational Development\nBuild and lead EMAGE India organization\nRecruit and develop high-performing local teams\nEstablish strong execution culture aligned with EMAGE values\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nWe are looking for candidates who:\nCome from leading transmission EPC/infrastructure companies such as:\nLarsen & Toubro (L&T)\nKEC International\nKalpataru Power\nSterlite Power\nTata Projects\nPower Grid-related ecosystem\nHave grown from technical/engineering background into senior program/business leadership\nHave strong experience in:\ntransmission EPC\nprogram management\nutility projects\nBOT/TBCB models\nUnderstand both:\nengineering realities\ncommercial drivers\nAre highly entrepreneurial and capable of building business from scratch\nHave strong stakeholder management capability across clients, regulators and partners\nPossess strong leadership, execution and business development capability\n\nPreferred Experience\n15+ years in transmission infrastructure industry\nExperience managing:\n220kV+\n400kV\n765kV\nHVDC\nprojects\nExperience in both:\nengineering/design\nEPC/program delivery\nExperience engaging with:\nPower Grid\nSEBs\nPrivate developers\nTransmission investors\nInternational exposure is a plus
