About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced US Accounting Team Lead to manage a team of accounting professionals supporting US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on accounting expertise, proven team management experience, and the ability to drive quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals.
- Review and oversee end-to-end accounting processes including AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Journal Entries, and Month-End Close.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports and client deliverables.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client communication and query resolution.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Manage workload allocation and ensure adherence to deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on accounting experience supporting US/UK clients.
- Mandatory: Minimum 2+ years of team handling/people management experience.
- Strong experience in AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Journal Entries, and Financial Reporting.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Yardi, or MRI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience managing a team of 5+ members.
- Prior experience in outsourcing/BPO/KPO/shared services environments.
- Exposure to direct client interactions and stakeholder management.
