Job Description

Role Summary

The Project Head – Civil Execution is responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and execution strategies
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and planning teams


2. Site Management

  • Oversee daily site operations and construction activities
  • Ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Monitor progress and resolve on-site issues proactively


3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and provide updates
  • Ensure client satisfaction and relationship management


4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and specifications
  • Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct inspections
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety norms, and environmental standards


5. Cost & Budget Control

  • Monitor project costs and optimize resource utilization
  • Approve bills, contracts, and vendor payments
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality


6. Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Handle project delays, disputes, and unforeseen challenges
  • Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed


7. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage project teams including engineers and supervisors
  • Evaluate team performance and provide guidance
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment


Key Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)
  • Master’s degree (preferred but optional)


Experience

  • 09–28 years in civil construction/execution
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure)


Skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Project completion within time and budget
  • Quality compliance and defect rates
  • Safety performance (zero/low incidents)
  • Client satisfaction
  • Cost efficiency and resource utilization
