About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior PHE Design Engineer to join our growing MEP Design team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Plumbing & Public Health Engineering (PHE) design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The role involves end-to-end design responsibility, multidisciplinary coordination, client interaction, and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Plumbing & Public Health Engineering systems in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, BOQs, and cost estimates with supporting documentation.
- Guide drafting/BIM teams in preparing high-quality design drawings and construction documents.
- Review and monitor drawings through all project stages up to GFC (Good for Construction) issuance.
- Review vendor submissions, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
- Participate in design review meetings with clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, and Site teams.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, technical discussions, and construction support when required.
- Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Propose value engineering solutions and innovative technologies/products to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- BE / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Plumbing & Public Health Engineering design within MEP consulting.
- Experience in Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Mixed-Use projects preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of plumbing and drainage system design principles.
- Ability to interpret Architectural and Structural drawings.
- Experience in preparation of BOQs, technical specifications, and design calculations.
- Knowledge of relevant plumbing codes, standards, and industry practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM workflows will be an added advantage.
