Job Description
- Develop plans and strategies for development of new contract manufacturing units basis the business plans and new product additions.
- Prepare detailed plans for the purchase and sourcing of goods required at contract manufacturing plants.
- Identify vendors for various new products and work with quality and development teams for operationalizing the same.
- Do the environment scan and Create a repository of contract manufacturers for development and supply of personal care products
- Ensure streamlining of operations, optimal utilization of resources, improving process efficiencies and support in reducing the total cost of procurement for goods.
- Work closely with suppliers and ensure resolution of any critical issues which can delay the purchase process
- Negotiate with vendors for getting optimal costs of sourced products.
- Ensure strict adherence to annual and monthly purchase plans and projections
- Work closely with production teams of all contract-manufacturing units to communicate supply schedule, gather requirements, feedback on materials etc.
- Conduct cost analysis to enable negotiation for competitive rates and freight charges with the vendors.
- Provide necessary support in negotiation of contracts for long term.
- Coordinate with user departments regularly on issues related to materials specifications and quality deviations
- Facilitate the interaction with local suppliers and production department as and when required
- Seek requisite developmental support/ inputs from the leadership and strive for self-development, both functional and behavioral
- Undergo training as required for self-development
- Update self-knowledge base to cater to the organization need
- Take responsibility of improving profitability by identifying cost reduction opportunities through appropriate and timely information support and analysis.
- Provide necessary information on key operational and cost parameters at every stage of the procurement cycle
