Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Design Head to oversee and lead our turnkey interior projects which includes design to execution. This position will report directly to the founders along with reporting to the HR. This role involves leading the sales discussion, managing design and execution of multiple projects under SK Design Studio. We expect you to get fully integrated with the organizations culture. You will be accountable for managing the resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of the interior design process, strong project management skills, excellent organizational skills. You will have the ability to independently handle and lead multiple sales opportunities, design initiatives and projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities:

1.Support presales activities such as meetings with potential clients, initial site visits, preparation of BOQs/Quotations

2.Lead sales meetings with clients and enable client conversion

3.Site visits as required

4.Lead the conceptualization of interior design projects, ensuring creative and innovative solutions

5.Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, mood boards, material selection, and colour schemes

6.Review and refine designs to align with client requirements and feedback

7.Review and create and enable creation of accurate drawings, 3D models, and detailed specifications using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)

8.Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies

9.Project execution along with management of Contractors, Suppliers and Designers

10.Site inspections and measurements with the Client/Design team

11.Client coordination - work as the primary or escalation point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle

12.Material Quality control, Material Inventory management and optimization

13.Procurement Management - Cost optimization, Verification of Supplier/Contractors bills/invoices

14.Project Scope includes all kinds of works such as Civil, Carpentry, POP, painting, modular work, electrical, etc.

15.Project Plan preparation, tracking, progress reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to SKD management and client as per requirement

16.Management of Planned V/S Actual tracking and reporting of Project Scope, Cost, resources and Timelines

17.Collaboration with other relevant teams (internal/external) and resolve conflicts or challenges efficiently

18.Ensure excellent finishing and successful Site handover to the client

19.Ensure all design and execution meet SK Design Studio’s standards and client expectations

20.Risk Management with mitigations

21.Maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges

22.After sales service to the client as per the terms

23.Vendor and Contractor negotiation

24.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns

25.Team Work, team management and self-development


Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or related field

2. Overall experience - Minimum 12 years out of which relevant experience of 8+ years in independently leading the design and project management in the interior design industry

3. Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools)

4. Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories

5. Project Management Certification like Prince2 or PMP preferred

6. Proficiency in project management tools and software

7. Strong understanding of interior design processes, materials, and construction methods

8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

9. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
