With extensive experience of hands-on experience in credit model development, this individual will play a key role in design, build, and validation of new credit risk models across a range of asset classes and methodologies.\n\nStrong Python proficiency is a prerequisite, and the ability to translate complex quantitative outputs into compelling client narratives is equally critical.\n\nThe role carries direct client exposure, requiring the candidate to engage confidently in technical discussions, present model frameworks, and support advisory mandates with rigorous analytical insight.\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to combine deep quantitative craft with meaningful client impact within a globally recognised risk brand.\n\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\n\nTeam Leadership and Culture\n\nOwn the leadership and day-to-day management of the Mumbai analyst team, creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned to BMI/Fitch Solutions values.\n\nEstablish clear team norms for collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing; provide clear status updates, issue management, and expectations setting.\n\nSupport pre-sales scoping and level-of-effort estimates; align resources to commercial priorities.\n\nSupport with solution design for proposals.\n\nJoin client meetings as a subject matter expert to support pitches.\n\nGather feedback from clients and stakeholders; translate insights into continuous improvements to process, tools, and training.\n\nFacilitate your own and the team’s ongoing knowledge sharing and learning with stakeholders e.g. local SMEs and following all projects.\n\nSupport the Advisory’s teams go to market efforts by supporting with project ideation and case study production.\n\nTo be the champion of Advisory in interactions with the wider BMI and Fitch Solutions teams.\n\nMaintain awareness of regulatory developments and trends, both in terms of their influence on Risk Advisory’s work, and to spot opportunities for future value add.\n\nCollaboration with the SME\n\nCoordinate closely with the Senior Subject Matter Expert, who owns methodological authority and advanced analytics.\n\nConvert SME guidance into practical workflows, templates, and training for the team.\n\nEnsure effective separation of responsibilities: SME leads technical depth; Team Lead owns people leadership, delivery discipline, and team capability uplift.\n\nProcess, Governance, and Continuous Improvement\n\nOwn and embed standard operating procedures for research, modelling, QA, and documentation.\n\nTrack and report on key team metrics (throughput, cycle time, utilisation, quality scores, rework rates, stakeholder satisfaction).\n\nDrive continuous improvement using retrospectives and root-cause analysis; implement automation and knowledge management where feasible.\n\nEnsure compliance with policies, data security, and editorial standards.\n\nLead a diverse and inclusive team environment, applying Fitch Solution’s DEI policies and guidelines to your work.\n\nResource Planning and Hiring\n\nForecast capacity and skills needs; create hiring briefs and partner with HR Talent Acquisition.\n\nLead onboarding for new joiners and ensure structured ramp-up with clear success metrics.\n\nKPIs and Measures of Success\n\nDelivery: On-time, in-scope delivery rate;
