Please do not contact the recruiter directly.\n\nDESCRIPTION:\nAmazon Logistics India (IN AMZL) is looking for a driven and analytical professional to join the Short Term Capacity Planning team. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data analytics, and strategic planning - responsible for ensuring the right capacity is available across VAN and BIKE service networks to meet customer promise while optimizing cost-to-serve.\n\nThe Short Term Capacity Planner will own near-term capacity planning across DSP, Hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging channels, ensuring delivery sufficiency across all zones and stations in India.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nCapacity Planning & Forecasting\n\nOwn weekly and daily capacity plans across all channels (DSP, hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging) for the India network\nDevelop and maintain short-term (D-1, D-7) capacity plans aligned with volume forecasts\nBuild cycle-level volume predictions and translate them into actionable block and route plans\nLead capacity planning for High Volume Events (HVEs) including Prime Day, ART events, and peak seasons, ensuring cost and capacity sufficiency\nPerformance Monitoring & Analytics\n\nTrack and analyze key capacity metrics including DPPH (Deliveries Per Productive Hour), assignment compliance, block mix, and ROBL (Return-on-Business-Load) across zones\nConduct Daily Business Reviews (DBR), Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with actionable insights\nIdentify capacity gaps, over/under-supply situations, and recommend corrective actions proactively\nBlock Mix & Cost Optimization\n\nOptimize block mix across VAN and BIKE channels to reduce cost-to-serve while maintaining service levels\nManage DSP, eDSP, and pickup pricing strategies to eliminate defects and improve productivity\nDrive initiatives to improve assignment compliance and reduce unplanned shipments\nCross-functional Collaboration\n\nPartner with Routing, Supply Planning, and Operations teams to align capacity inputs with routing configurations and station-level constraints\nCollaborate with BI and tech teams to build scalable planning tools, dashboards, and automated reporting\nWork with regional and global AMZL teams (NA, EU) for benchmarking and adoption of best practices\nProcess Improvement & Governance\n\nDevelop and maintain SOPs, planning frameworks, and governance mechanisms for capacity decisions\nLead automation initiatives such as auto-cap approval workflows and CTO-based capacity enrichment\nDrive standardization of planning processes across stations and zones\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience\n- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience\n- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience\n- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights\n- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders\n- Experience with Excel\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience\n- Bachelor's degree or equivalent\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
