About The Job:
  • We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer with hands-on experience in building and managing scalable data pipelines using AWS technologies.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS Glue (PySpark), S3 with Iceberg tables, and Airflow (MWAA) along with a basic functional understanding of SAP Sales/Order data
Essential Job Functions:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark)
  • Work with Client S3 and Apache Iceberg to build scalable and efficient data lake architectures
  • Build, schedule, and monitor workflows using Client MWAA (Managed Airflow)
  • Optimize data processing jobs for performance, cost, and scalability
  • Integrate and process SAP Sales and Order data into data pipelines
  • Collaborate with functional and business teams to understand SAP data structures and requirements
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in AWS data workflows
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with:
    • AWS Glue (PySpark)
    • Client S3 (data lake concepts)
    • Apache Iceberg tables
    • Client MWAA / Apache Airflow
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark
  • Experience designing data pipelines & ETL frameworks
  • Understanding of data modeling and data lake architecture
Functional / Domain Knowledge
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) module
  • Familiarity with:
    • Sales orders
    • Billing/invoicing data
    • Customer/master data
  • Ability to interpret SAP data attributes for downstream transformations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating SAP data using tools like SAP extractors / APIs / SLT / OData
  • Exposure to data lakehouse concepts
  • Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering
  • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Typically 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
Key Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Good communication skills to interact with technical and functional teams
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with other AWS services (Lambda, Redshift, Athena)
  • Exposure to big data frameworks or streaming tools
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
