This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solution Architect - Embedded & Enterprise Linux (Presales) based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced embedded systems, enterprise Linux architecture, and technical presales leadership, supporting mission-critical industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, and telecommunications. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, engaging directly with enterprise customers to understand complex requirements and design end-to-end solution architectures. The position involves leading technical discovery sessions, workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements to demonstrate product value and secure new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with account managers to shape go-to-market strategies and influence deal outcomes through deep technical expertise. In addition, the role requires translating customer needs into scalable Linux-based architectures and guiding implementation strategies across multiple environments. This is a highly visible, customer-facing position where technical depth, communication skills, and solution-selling capability are equally critical.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as the technical presales lead and trusted advisor for enterprise and embedded Linux solutions across key customer engagements
  • Design and present end-to-end solution architectures using embedded Linux, enterprise Linux, and third-party technologies
  • Conduct technical workshops, discovery sessions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements to support sales cycles
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance Linux-based architecture blueprints
  • Support account managers in shaping technical account strategies and driving new business acquisition
  • Serve as the single point of technical contact for customers throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Provide technical leadership in evaluating requirements, removing technical barriers, and ensuring solution feasibility
  • Deliver market and customer feedback to internal product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and improvements
  • Lead trade shows, seminars, and technical presentations to promote solution capabilities and increase market adoption

Requirements:

  • 8-12+ years of experience in embedded systems, enterprise Linux, or related software architecture roles
  • Strong expertise in Linux platforms such as Wind River Linux, RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, or similar distributions
  • Solid background in embedded software development, RTOS environments, system architecture, and debugging
  • Strong C/C++ programming, problem-solving, and system-level troubleshooting skills
  • Experience designing and deploying Linux-based architectures including kernel, BSP, and application layers
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, system hardening, lifecycle management, and automation/IaC tools
  • Experience with presales engineering, solution architecture, or field applications engineering is highly desirable
  • Understanding of safety and security standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO-178, EN 50128) is a plus
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and customer-facing demos effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across global teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field required
  • Professional Linux certifications (e.g., RHCE, SUSE Architect) are highly preferred
