SATS Food Solutions serves airlines and institutions and operates central kitchens with large-scale food production and distribution capabilities for a wide range of cuisines.\nSATS is present in the Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, powering an interconnected world of trade, travel and taste. Following the acquisition of Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in 2023, the combined SATS and WFS network operates over 215 stations in 27 countries. For more information, please visit\n\nRole Summary\n\nThis role is for SATS Food Solutions India, reporting to the CEO.\nThe Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by leading financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. This role partners with senior leadership to drive profitability, ensure regulatory compliance, and support long-term business growth.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\n1.
Financial Strategy & Leadership\nDevelop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives\nProvide strategic recommendations to the CEO/Board on financial performance and growth initiatives\nDrive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives\n\n2. Management Reporting\nPrepare comprehensive financial reporting packs on a monthly basis and delivering critical insights on business performance, profitability by brand, location & identifying key drivers of actual performance and suggesting corrective actions which enables leadership team to set priorities and navigate uncertainties.\nMaintaining clear & consistent communication with various stakeholders by providing updates on earnings, growth outlooks, and ROE.\nProviding commercial analysis to support pricing strategy, profitability, inventory management & cost management.\nDetailed analysis of COGS and Capacity Utilization of the plant and presenting the same to the leadership team by highlighting the movement of various cost components & its impact on COGS & profitability.\nReview of standard costing system by continuously monitoring the cost structure, Raw Material price and other factory overheads.\n\n3. Budgeting & Forecasting\nLead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes\nAnalyze variances and provide actionable insights\nSupport business units with financial planning and performance tracking\n\n4.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management\nManage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity\nOversee banking relationships, funding, and investment activities\nOptimize capital structure and manage debt obligations\n\n5. Compliance, Audit & Taxation\nEnsure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements\nOversee direct and indirect tax planning, filings, and assessments\nManage internal and external audits and liaise with auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies\n\n6. Financial Reporting & governance\nLead in modelling, planning & execution of all financial process and improving financial management system by creating, revising and documenting policies and procedures in line with company’s overall mission\nOverseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial accounting (AP/AR/GL/Capex/Inventory).\nEnsure monthly closing of book of accounts within Group specified timeline.\nTo ensure, all Internal Financial Controls (IFC) & Risk management techniques of the organizations are always adhered to safeguard company assets & ensure compliances, transparency and efficiency\n\n7.
Risk Management\nIdentify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies\nMonitor financial exposures including credit, market, and operational risks\nOversees company’s insurance program in consultation with Group and ensures that all risks are covered & claims are settled within time.\n\n8. Team Leadership\nBuild, mentor, and lead the finance and accounts team\nEstablish performance goals and drive capability development\nFoster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement\n\nKey Requirements\n\nCA/CPA with 15+ years of experience including Controllership stint with MNC. Experience in food or manufacturing industry is preferred.\nExpert knowledge of India AS and local tax regulations is a must.\nStrong working knowledge and experience of standard costing\nWork experience in early-stage startups or founding experience is a plus\nStrong leadership to create a cohesive working environment and drive high performance.\nHigh levels of initiative with ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities\nStrong numerical ability coupled with sound reasoning and logical skills\nHands-on experience in implementing and managing global reporting systems (HFM & One Stream) and ERP (working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an added advantage).
