Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise data architecture solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modelling, integration, cloud data platforms, and enterprise data governance within large-scale, multi-vendor environments. This role will work closely with enterprise architects, development teams, and business stakeholders to define scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions aligned with organizational objectives.\n\nThis is a 12 month contract with potential extension, and we are looking for candidates that can start within 2-3 weeks\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement enterprise data architecture, data models, and integration solutions.\nDefine target-state data architecture, technology roadmaps, and transformation strategies.\nLead data migration and transformation initiatives across relational and NoSQL databases.\nArchitect and support cloud-based data platforms, preferably within Microsoft Azure environments.\nEstablish and enforce data governance frameworks, data ownership, and stewardship models.\nDefine and implement data quality metrics, controls, monitoring mechanisms, and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.\nReview and address non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, availability, and security.\nConduct architecture and data design reviews while providing technical guidance and governance oversight.\nCollaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide data solutions.\nSupport modernization and optimization of enterprise data platforms and integration frameworks.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Architect.\nExpertise in data architecture, data modelling, and data integration.\nHands-on or architectural-level experience with relational and NoSQL databases.\nExperience with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.\nStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, security, and compliance frameworks.\nExperience working within large enterprise and multi-vendor environments.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural review capabilities.
