A quality role in the controls alliance will focus on compliance to our Quality Management System (QMS) with is currently owned and maintained by GEV and their Quality leader. To move to more autonomous operations, this ownership would shift from GEV to Quest-Global. The QMS will be managed in the greater GEV QMS system with clear ownership assigned to the Quest-Global Alliance. In addition, the controls alliance quality leader will have close collaboration with their counterparts in GEV controls engineering and business. The functions of a Controls Alliance Quality Leader are as follows.

  1. KPIs
  2. # of Non-Conformances (NCRs)
  3. Engineering Resolution Cases (ER)
  4. Ensure Compliance with the QMS
  5. Own
  6. Ownership of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process
  7. Log project risk in a centralized register
  8. Ensure risks are tracked through the project life cycle
  9. Sign Off on the risk mitigation before project shipment
  10. Track NCR actual to target
  11. Resolve measurement system issues
  12. Drive corrective action NCR Closer
  13. Initiate NCR continuous improvement Road map
  14. Track critical case responsiveness and completion
  15. Identify trends and implement correction actions
  16. Ownership of the Controls Alliance Quality Management System (QMS)
  17. Safety, Quality escapes and Compliance concerns
  18. Stop Works
  19. Safety near misses and corrective actions
  20. QMS deskside audit plan
  21. Lesson Learn implementations
  22. Read A Cross
  23. Championing RCAs

Work Experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be a change agent in bringing data driven approach in problem solving & decision-making process
  • Interact with Customers on all quality front, understand the requirements and achieve their KPIs
  • Identify process gaps, non-conformities support in conducting RCAs and data analysis on problems
  • Promote quality awareness and provide training related to QMS and ISO9001 practices & problem-solving techniques
  • Plan, execute, and document internal audits in accordance with ISO9001 to improve overall project maturity of the Delivery Unit
  • Assist in preparing the organization for external/customer audits and assessments
  • Support development, maintenance, and improvement of QMS and process frameworks
  • Review proposals and signoff of First of Projects and ensure success
  • Conduct periodic governance review meeting on overall quality and continuous improvement
  • Status reporting to Senior Management on a regular basis
  • Train Green Belts (GBs) using relevant modules, identify improvement opportunities, mentor GB projects, and drive them to closure

Required Skills & Technical Competency:

  • Good understanding on Project Management elements.
  • Hands on experience in implementing Quality Standards like ISO9001 or similar quality models
  • Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor and guide team in performing Root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement projects
  • Proficient in tools like MS Office, audit management, and document control systems

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Total 10-15 years with min 4-5 years hands on experience in the Quality role

Preferred Greenbelt/Blackbelt certified
