Senior Technical Consultant (Visual Basic + Oracle EBS)

We are seeking an experienced Retail Application Developer with strong Visual Basic programming skills and expertise in AWS, ETL processes, and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and supporting applications within the retail industry, preferably in a multi-channel environment encompassing stores, e-commerce, and other sales channels.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Visual Basic technologies.\nDevelop and support ETL processes to facilitate data integration and transformation across multiple systems.\nWork with AWS cloud services to build, deploy, and support scalable solutions.\nIntegrate and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications and related business processes.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements.\nTroubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.\nEnsure data accuracy, system performance, and application reliability.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation activities.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process and technology enhancements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong hands-on experience in Visual Basic (VB/VB.NET) application development.\nExperience working with AWS services and cloud-based application environments.\nSolid understanding and practical experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.\nExperience supporting or integrating with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).\nStrong SQL and database development skills.\nExperience in application troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.\nDomain Experience\nProven experience as a developer within the Retail industry.\nStrong understanding of retail business processes and systems.\nExperience working in a multi-channel retail environment, including stores, e-commerce, and omnichannel operations.\nExposure to inventory management, order management, merchandising, pricing, promotions, or customer-facing retail systems is preferred.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.\nKnowledge of retail data architecture and reporting solutions.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nExperience Required\n5+ years of application development experience.\nRelevant experience in Visual Basic, AWS, ETL, Oracle EBS, and retail application development.\n\nAtain is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a professional, inclusive, and diverse work environment.
