Job Title - Senior Consultant / Solution Lead - Utility Operations & Digital Grid.

Experience - 10 - 18 Years

Location - PAN India

Notice - Immediate to 15 days

Requirements:

We are looking for a senior utility professional with strong hands-on knowledge of distribution operations and digital grid applications. The role will support solutioning and delivery across ADMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS, GIS, SCADA, and MDMS/AMI-integrated operational use cases, with a practical focus on utility operations, system integration, and grid modernization outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

· Support solution design and delivery across ADMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS, and related digital grid programs.

· Provide domain-led consulting and blueprinting support for utility distribution operations transformation projects.

· Define and validate operational use cases such as FLISR, VVO/VVC, switching management, outage integration, and DER visibility.

· Support integration architecture definition across GIS, SCADA, OMS, DMS, MDMS/AMI, DERMS, and related enterprise/operational systems.

· Contribute to tender responses, solution scoping, estimation, and client proposal development.

· Guide stakeholders on substation automation strategy and control center setup where applicable.

Mandatory Skills

· 12-16 years of experience in electric utility operations / digital grid / distribution management roles.

· Strong knowledge of distribution utility operational processes such as outage management, switching, restoration, reliability operations, feeder operations, and network control.

· Hands-on experience in one or more of the following platforms/capability areas: ADMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS, SCADA, GIS, MDMS/AMI operational integration.

· Good understanding of ADMS functions such as FLISR, VVO/VVC, switching order management, state estimation, outage integration, and operational visualization.

· Strong knowledge of DER/grid-edge operational concepts such as DER visibility, constraint management, flexibility orchestration, hosting capacity implications, and DER integration into distribution operations.

· Experience in integrating operational systems such as GIS, OMS, SCADA, DMS, MDMS/AMI, and related enterprise/operational applications.

· Must have experience working on ADMS/DMS platforms from any of the leading OEMs including Siemens, Schneider Electric, GE, Hitachi, ABB etc.

· Ability to support requirements, use-case definition, solution design, testing support, and deployment readiness for digital grid or ADMS/DERMS programs.

· Knowledge of substation automation and control center setup strategy.

· Strong domain grounding in electric utility operations — not just generic IT/enterprise architecture.

Good-to-Have Skills

· Experience with DERMS use cases such as flexible interconnection, DER dispatch, voltage support, or non-wires alternatives.

· Exposure to microgrid / resilience / islanding-related operational concepts.

· Familiarity with interoperability standards / smart grid integration principles and system data exchange approaches.

· Exposure to AMI-driven operational use cases such as outage detection, voltage visibility, and customer-side operational intelligence.

· Experience in power generation operations, control room environments, or generation-side OT systems.

· Some experience in client workshops, use-case framing, roadmap inputs, or vendor evaluation.

· Basic understanding of adjacent enterprise systems such as Asset & Work Management, SAP, or equivalent ERP platforms.

· Familiarity with cloud-hosted or hybrid deployment models (e.g., Azure) for utility operational platforms.

· Experience delivering in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

Educational Qualification

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related discipline — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
