Senior Software Development Engineer In Test

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end‑to‑end test automation frameworks for:
  • Web applications
  • APIs and services
  • Data pipelines and data stores
• Perform:
  • Functional and regression testing automation
  • API load and performance testing
  • Data validation, system security, and data security testing
• Architect, design, and lead test automation infrastructure supporting cloud‑based CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate existing automation frameworks and define improvements to testing processes and standards
• Troubleshoot automation builds, execution issues, and test scripts
• Participate in architecture and engineering discussions; provide testing strategies and recommendations
• Research, prototype, and recommend new testing tools and technologies
• Analyze application code flow and interactions across systems and services
• Apply engineering problem‑solving skills to build high‑performance and scalable testing solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 6+ years of overall software development experience
• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering / test automation
• Strong hands‑on programming experience in JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#
• Solid experience with UI and API test automation tools such as:
  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Protractor, Appium
  • Jasmine, Mocha, or similar frameworks
• Experience with modern web technologies:
  • Node.js, React, Angular
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation using:
  • Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker
• Good understanding of Agile development and testing methodologies
• Experience with TDD and BDD testing approaches
• Strong knowledge of Git and source control best practices
• Experience in non‑functional testing:
  • Performance testing
  • Scalability testing
• Understanding of system security best practices and secure testing approaches
• Ability to think logically, triage issues, and diagnose complex problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ownership mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience with SQL queries and stored procedures
• Data pipeline testing experience (ETL, data warehouse validation, etc.)
• Experience with chaos engineering principles and tools
