Application Packaging Engineer and Software Distribution Specialist (m/f/x)

For our subsidiary BAUER Corporate Services Private Limited in Mumbai, India we are searching for a new IT team member as Application Packaging Engineer and Software Distribution Specialist (m/f/x).

Your tasks:

• Creating, maintaining and updating client software packages for new and existing applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other business applications
  
• Developing, testing and maintaining software packages for deployment to end-user desktops, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
  
• Reviewing and validating software request tickets
  
• Creating installation guides in collaboration with software key users
  
• Scripting software packages for distribution, performing alpha tests and documenting technical aspects throughout the development process

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent education
• Several years of experience in Application Packaging (with tools like SCCM or Intune)
• Strong skills in Windows 10/11 in an Enterprise Active Directory environment, including Registry, Processes, Filesystem and PowerShell
• Understanding of MSI and EXE packaging standards and best practices, with strong log file analysis and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both speaking and writing
