Conservation Expert

Conduct inspections of heritage-sensitive structures, ghats, temples, and traditional architectural works. Review restoration methodologies, drawings, and conservation procedures adopted by contractors. Verify quality and suitability of conservation materials such as stone, lime mortar, timber, and traditional finishes.

Ensure compliance with ASI guidelines, conservation standards, and approved specifications. Identify defects, damages, poor workmanship, and non-conformities during execution. Recommend corrective and preventive measures for preservation of heritage assets.

Review material test reports and quality assurance records related to conservation works. Submit inspection reports, compliance notes, and recommendations to the Authority. Assist in final quality certification and preservation of cultural and heritage structures.

Ensure environmental and cultural sensitivity during execution of works. Provide technical guidance on heritage conservation and restoration practices.
