Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

In thisroleyouare responsible fordeterminingthe cost and sales price for pump parts. You use your technical knowledge and insight for this. In this role you work together with various departments within FlowserveAPACor our other locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for seals and systems based on RFQs within the requested clienttimeframe.
• Interpret technical sheets, specifications, warranties, delivery times, and commercial conditions.
• Develop andmaintainproduct standards, including price lists.
• Support the Sales Engineer in creating forecasts and achieving booking targets.
• Interact with manufacturing hubs (Kalamazoo, Dortmund, and Tlaxcala) for special orders and backlog information
• Review purchase order contracts, ensuring order entryin accordance withthe Sales Approval Policy.
• Utilize corporate tools such asFlowforce,Trident Tool,Customer Connect, EIS, CRM, andautoSAPto support the quoting process.
• Conduct technical customer visits, when necessary, to strengthen relationships andapplicationunderstanding.
• Responsible for clarifying incomplete or incorrect PO information with the customer.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge of products, applications, mechanical seals, and auxiliary systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree inmechanicalwith4-5years of relevant experience , certificate course with more than 10+ years ofstrongPump industry experience.
• Knowledge ofAPI/ANSI/ISO Pump,auxiliary sealingsystemsand other accessories
• Previousindustry experience in pumps, rotating equipment, or similar systems (preferred but flexible).
• Prior experience in positions such as: Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer (design),PlanningEngineeror Industrial Engineer withaExperienceon rotating equipment.
