Transportation Manager

Job Overview

The Transportation Manager will oversee and optimize all aspects of transportation within the FFDC - supply chain. This full-time, mid-level role focuses on effective fleet, logistics, and vendor management, ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries. The position is critical to maximizing operational efficiency while upholding the companys high standards of quality and value.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Working with FFDC operations, planning routes and scheduling delivery times.

2. Managing a team of Supervisors, administration staff and drivers

3. Vehicle Planning and scheduling as per Operations and Business Plan

4. Vendor Management

5. Ensure vehicles provided are as per guidelines. Preventive maintenance of vehicles are followed by service providers

6. Vendor Invoice Validation

7. Statutory Compliance from Transport perspective

8. Records to be maintained as per company/government policies and regulations

Knowledge & Skills

1. Sound knowledge of Warehouse Operations.

2.Extensive Knowledge of Transport models.
