Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement automated test scripts using various tools and framework (Automation Anywhere, Servicenow, Ignio, Mywizard,
- Design and execute test cases (Unit, SIT, UAT) for RPA bots Python scripts, ensuring functionality and reliability.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Optimize test automation strategies for scalability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Monitor debugging processes and report on testing status.
- Analyze Test Results: Document and analyze test results to assist in debugging and modifying software.
- Maintain Test Frameworks: Implement and maintain automation test frameworks and strategies.
- Stay updated with emerging automation, RPA testing tools and methodologies.
- Provide Technical Support to internal users during testing phase of projects and large-scale implementations ensuring uptime as soon as possible.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives identifying test protocols to optimize scenarios using AI models and Machine Language algorithms and maintainability of existing platform architecture and other technology investments.
- Document procedures and maintain technical specifications for workflow management systems.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation and testing
- Experience within Life Sciences/ Pharma /Manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Agile Practices: Experience working in Agile development environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to lead ad hoc analyses, identify performance gaps, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in the continuous delivery pipeline. Adhering to DevOps best practices for version control automation and deployment. Ensuring effective management of the PlatformX backlog.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor performance of applications and identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with business, development teams to integrate automated testing and improve testing processes across the organisation including Commercial, Manufacturing, Medical, InformationX, GrowthX and support other Hubs and Practices. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Testing and Scripting preferably using AI models and machine learning algorithms.
- Strong experience in RPA and business process automation testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based automation platforms.
- Experience with API, workflow, python , scripting testing tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
- Previous experience as a test automation engineer or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of Automation Testing, and be able to develop and implement complex test cases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Worked on multiple Python-based projects and Workflow Management implementations
- Solid understanding of Python libraries and frameworks and be able to develop and implement complex Python algorithms.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and coding in other automation languages, Automation Solutions Architecting,
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), database languages (like SQL), and frameworks/libraries is also advantageous.
- Problem-solving skills to identify, debug, and resolve issues during the design, testing, and deployment phases.
- Ability to analyze business processes and design workflow solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of the automated processes.
- Experience within Life Sciences/ Pharma /Manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Agile Practices: Experience working in agile development environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Understand and Interpret business requirements and can term them into technical/functional test cases.
- Certifications in any automation platforms testing – Automation Anywhere, Ignio, MyWizard
- Proven experience in developing test cases for Microsoft Power Automate, Python, Java Scripsts.
- Training in areas such as machine learning and/or artificial intelligence
- Subject Matter Expertise: possess a strong understanding of data architecture/ engineering/operations/ reporting within Life Sciences/ Pharma industry across Commercial, Manufacturing and Medical domains.
- Experience with cloud-based automation and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Other complex and highly regulated industry experience will be considered across diverse areas like Commercial, Manufacturing and Medical.
- Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to lead ad hoc analyses, identify performance gaps, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
- This permanent position will be hybrid 2-3 days / week and based in Bengaluru, India
- Astellas is a global company. Successful candidates will be expected to work across different time zones and according to regions or specific locations based upon demand.
