ELV Drafting Engineer
Job Description
The ELV Drafting Engineer supports the design and engineering team by preparing accurate CAD drawings and documentation for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The role focuses on drafting, updating, and coordinating ELV layouts in accordance with design intent, standards, and project requirements.
Drafting & Documentation

Prepare ELV drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit if applicable), including:
CCTV layouts
Access Control layouts
Structured Cabling (Data & Voice) drawings
Public Address (PA) system layouts
IPTV / SMATV / MATV drawings
ELV containment and routing plans
Draft single-line diagrams, schematics, and typical details as directed by ELV engineers.
Update drawings based on design comments, RFIs, and site conditions.
Maintain drawing registers and revision control.
Coordinate ELV drawings with Architectural, Structural, and MEP layouts to avoid clashes.
Incorporate comments from engineers, consultants, and clients.
Assist in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
Support site teams with updated drawings when required.
Participate in basic site visits for redline updates (if required).
Requirements Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering or Drafting.
1–2 years of experience in ELV drafting or related electrical drafting.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
Basic knowledge of ELV systems and symbols.
Familiarity with drawing standards, layers, and scales.
Revit knowledge is an advantage but not mandatory.

Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or relevant AV/ELV background. 3–6 years of experience in AV commissioning or integration. Hands-on experience with Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Barco, Crestron, Kramer, or Extron systems. Knowledge of network and IP-based AV deployments. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Industry certifications (e.g. CTS, Crestron/Extron certifications) are a plus.
