:Collaborate with Stakeholders
Partner with DT Enterprise Architects and functional customers to design and architect solutions for PTC Windchill, ThingWorx Navigate, custom J2EE/Java EE applications, AWS-hosted environments, and Microsoft SharePoint. Lead Frontend & Backend Development
Drive the design and development of new enhancements and projects, focusing on both frontend and backend applications to support Windchill document management, workflows, data exports, and other key solutions for GE Appliances. Develop Web & Mobile-Responsive Features
Build responsive applications and features optimized for web and mobile platforms. Collaborate with Development Teams & Product Owners
Work closely with development teams, product owners, and project leaders to structure effective technical solutions. Drive Team Efficiency & Meet Deadlines
Take initiative, lead by example, and ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects for both individual and team assignments. Database Development
Develop and optimize database queries, procedures, and packages as required to support application functionality. Code Development & Deployment
Write and maintain code, APIs, and scripts while working with operations teams to manage pre-production releases and validate post-production deployments. Create Technical Documentation & Test Cases
Develop clear, visual technical specifications and comprehensive test cases for both DT teams and end-users. Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues
Debug and resolve development issues, including engaging with third-party vendors by raising support tickets when necessary.
Coordinate & Lead Project Efforts
Take ownership of project leadership, coordinating development efforts across teams, and managing additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
· Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in J2EE/Java EE development and application development, preferably involving Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- 5+ years leading development efforts, including customizations and configurations for PTC Windchill PDMLink workflows. ThingWorx Navigate (UI and backend) experience will be plus and advantageous.
- Understanding of Linux and AWS Cloud Environment
- Strong understanding of PTC PLM development and architecture with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors.
- Proven experience with Windchill API components and architecture for custom development.
- Familiarity with formal software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) .
- Skilled in writing technical specifications and creating test cases based on functional documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment .
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others , driving adherence to policies and creating win-win outcomes.
- Self-motivated with a passion for software development and a team-oriented, will-to-win attitude .
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision to meet project goals.
- Willingness to occasionally work during weekends or evenings , as needed.
