Epoch Media Group is looking for a Product / Design Systems Designer to own and scale our Web + App Design System .

This is a critical role focused on building and maintaining a single source of truth for design and development. Youll work closely with Product Designers and Engineers to create scalable, production-ready components that ship faster and stay consistent across platforms.

• Own and maintain the Design System across Web and App platforms
• Build and evolve reusable components, patterns, and foundations
• Partner closely with Engineering to ensure Figma components map cleanly to code
• Define clear component standards: props, variants, states, naming conventions
• Document usage guidelines, best practices, and implementation notes
• Audit existing components and improve system consistency
• Support rollout, adoption, and governance of the Design System across teams
• Collaborate with Product Designers to ensure consistent implementation
• Support QA and help resolve design-system-related implementation issues

• 4+ years of experience in Product / UX Design
• Hands-on experience owning or maintaining a Design System
• Strong expertise in Figma (components, variables, libraries)
• Proven experience collaborating directly with Engineers
• Comfortable working with complex, component-based systems
• Clear communicator with a practical, structured approach

• Experience working on both Web and Mobile design systems
• Familiarity with Storybook or similar design-system tooling
• Exposure to design-to-code workflows and system documentation

• The Design System is stable, well-documented, and actively used
• Components translate cleanly from Figma to code
• Web and App products share consistent patterns and behaviors
• Engineers trust and adopt the system
• Product teams ship faster with fewer inconsistencies
