Job Title : Senior EXIM / DGFT & Import–Customs Compliance Executive

Department : EXIM

Location : Talegaon

Experience : 3-8 Years

Qualification : B.COM /BBA/MBA in Logistics

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes

  1. Strong communication and negotiation skills with, CHAs, agents, and freight forwarders.
  2. Proficiency in English, Excel, and SAP-based documentation.
  3. Excellent organizational skills for maintaining audit-ready records and coordinating across teams (sales, factory, warehouse, finance, logistics).
  4. Attention to detail for accurate HS/HSN classification, valuation, and compliance checks.
  5. Proactive problem-solving for liaising with DGFT offices and monitoring policy changes
  6. Team leadership capabilities

Main responsibility

Lead, train and manage the team to undertake following attributes for voluminous import transaction each month:

  1. Apply and follow up on DGFT schemes like Advance Authorization, EPCG, Duty Drawback, RoDTEP; prepare applications and closure files.
  2. Handle bond & BG registration/closure in customs apply for COO on DGFT portal and norms fixation from Delhi DGFT.
  3. Ensure import compliance with customs laws, DGFT circulars, licensing, duty exemptions, and input-output norms.
  4. Coordinate import processes: checklists with suppliers/agents/CHAs, BOE filing via ICEGATE with correct HS/duty, customs clearance, duty payment, and bank submissions (e.g., BOE against advance payments at IDMPS).
  5. Manage freight RFQ finalization (AIR, LCL, FCL, and Breakbulk) and customs clearance for HSSA/Breakbulk shipments.
  6. Knowledge of product coverage under QCO/DPIIT and application to DPIIT NOC for exemptions.
  7. Knowledge of generating E-way Bills.
  8. Maintain records of all EXIM transactions, DGFT licenses, export incentives, and realization certificates (BRCs).
  9. Liaise for IEC, RCMC, authorizations; monitor DGFT notifications, Handbook of Procedures, FTP schemes; implement changes.
  10. Coordinate internally for export shipments, EPCG/Advance License fulfilment, and export realizations.

Knowledge

  1. DGFT policies, portals, schemes (Advance Authorization, EPCG, Duty Drawback, RoDTEP), Handbook of Procedures, FTP, input-output norms.
  2. Customs laws, valuation/manual, ICEGATE/EDI, BOE/Shipping Bill filing, HS/ITC-HS/HSN classification.
  3. Import/export documentation (invoices, packing lists, COO/GSP, BRCs, realization certificates).
  4. BIS/QCO and DPIIT processes for NOC/exemptions; E-way Bill generation.
  5. GST, RBI guidelines for imports/exports; bank procedures (IDMPS, advance payments).
