Senior Data Engineer – GCP Experience: 10 Years Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Work From Office Work Timings: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM IST Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview Seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in GCP, ETL/ELT pipelines, DBT, and enterprise data integration to build scalable, high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities Data Engineering: Build and maintain scalable pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT ; ensure reliability and performance. GCP Data Platform: Develop solutions using GCS, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud SQL .

Data Integration & Mapping: Perform source-to-target mapping , API integrations, and ensure end-to-end data lineage (BIAN exposure is a plus). Data Quality: Implement validation, reconciliation, and monitoring for accurate, reliable data delivery . Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and collaborate with business & tech teams.

Agile Delivery: Work in cross-functional Agile squads and contribute to sprint execution. Documentation: Maintain data dictionaries, mappings, models, and API specs . Problem Solving: Troubleshoot pipeline/data issues and deliver actionable insights.

Required Skills 10 years (12 preferred) in Data Engineering Strong expertise in Python, SQL, DBT Hands-on experience with GCP data services Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modelling, and data warehousing Experience with APIs, data quality frameworks, and monitoring (Splunk/Dynatrace) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Good to Have BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik BIAN framework knowledge Banking / Financial Services experience How you will grow At Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
