About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will play a key strategic role in working collaboratively with the Practices to help CyberCX transform into an organisation that can scale to deliver significant growth in all Professional Service offerings, positioning CyberCX as Australia’s greatest force of cyber security professionals.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring engagements delivered for clients are outcome focused and remain appropriate for their business requirements, including programs of work and subsequent transition to support.
The Senior Project Manager is accountable for meeting their annual targets and KPIs, meeting project milestones and delivering projects on time, to budget and within scope.
What You'll Do
- Lead the delivery, and transition to support, multiple complex and interdependent projects and engagements
- Ensure projects deliver stellar client experiences while meeting time, scope and budget requirements
- Develop detailed project, program and transition plans, track progress and manage changes in scope, schedule and cost using the specified project management processes and tools
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring delivery feasibility
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including steering-level schedules, plans and reports.
- Where necessary and approved, utilise modified delivery processes and tools to meet complex client delivery and reporting requirements
- Lead and coordinate the activities of multiple project teams, and assist with resource scheduling
- Build and manage strong, long-lasting relationships and partnerships with clients, stakeholders and third parties/vendors
- Perform risk management across individual and interdependent projects to minimise project risks ; identify and recommend delivery and process improvements
What You'll Bring
Mandatory:
- At least 5+ years’ experience successfully managing large Professional Services or IT Project Teams
- Proven record of successful implementation of complex projects and programs
- Project Management Certifications (such as PRINCE2® Practitioner or CAPM / PMP)
- Advanced skills in MS Project ; Established experience with MS Office suite
- SDLC understanding and the ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with an ability to build credibility both internally and externally at all levels
- Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner and managing client expectations in difficult circumstances
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- An Australian Security Clearance (Baseline minimum)
Desirable:
- Experience/exposure with both Defence and corporate/private sector environments
- Project Management Certifications (AIPM / Reg PM CPPM), Agile SAFE, Scrum Master
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Project Management
- Experience with PMIS or PSA software
