Job Description
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Leadership:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end logistics operations across all branches, hubs, warehouses, and distribution centers within the zone.
- Ensure achievement of service levels, turnaround times (TAT), delivery performance, and customer commitments.
- Drive operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor daily operational performance and implement corrective actions to address service gaps.
- Manage transportation, fleet operations, route optimization, line-haul movements, and last-mile delivery performance.
- Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles, manpower, and infrastructure to maximize productivity.
- Optimize network costs while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Support network expansion, branch setup, and capacity planning initiatives.
- Own the zonal operational budget and profitability targets.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across transportation, warehousing, manpower, and infrastructure expenses.
- Monitor operational KPIs, productivity metrics, and financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to budgeted costs and improve operational margins.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
- Manage key customer escalations and drive timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Sales and Key Account teams to support customer retention and business growth.
- Establish service improvement plans based on customer feedback and performance reviews.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Hub Managers, and operational teams across the zone.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, productivity, and customer-centricity.
- Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and performance management processes.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with transportation regulations, labor laws, and company SOPs.
- Drive safety programs and risk mitigation initiatives across all operational locations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure operational and process compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Procurement, Technology, and Customer Service teams.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, transport partners, vendors, and government authorities.
- Support strategic business initiatives and transformation projects within the zone.
