Role
To provide technical review support for EU services specifically ISO /CPR/PED schemes against defined procedures with some discretion over priorities of workload. Undertakes a range of technical review/support activities and resolves queries for internal/external clients,

  • In particular, conduct technical reviews of client organization files, after each visit requiring a certification decision; client files would contain information such as : commercial agreement, assessment report, certificate
  • To produce clear, accurate, and auditable reports of technical review and support activities undertaken.
  • Specialisation Requirement:

  • Act as a Welding Subject Matter Expert, holding an International Welding Engineer (IWE) qualification, supporting:
  • Compliance with scheme and code requirements
  • Review of welding-related documentation (WPS, PQR, WPQ, materials, NDT, etc.)
  • Technical review and independent decision-making in certification processes
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical and contract reviews for assigned jobs in line with defined procedures and KPIs.
  • Manage and prioritise daily technical review workload to ensure timely delivery.
  • Review and verify technical documentation, supporting certification decisions.
  • Record review outcomes, including checklists, assessor feedback, and required actions.
  • Resolve technical queries and coordinate with internal teams and external clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with technical reviewers and decision-makers to ensure consistent interpretations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, scheme requirements, and accreditation expectations.
  • Escalate technical issues, risks, or delays appropriately to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support maintenance and consistent application of the EN ISO welding certification scheme, including review of welding-related documentation, verification of special process controls, and ensuring alignment with accreditation, competence, and scheme requirements.
  • Maintain technical competence and CPD, including records and professional registrations.
  • Support knowledge sharing, coaching, and training within the team and to clients where required.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc technical activities, as required.
