Position Available Associate Professor – Physiotherapy Professor – Physiotherapy Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Gharuan, Mohali (Punjab) Role & Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in areas including: Musculoskeletal & Orthopedic Physiotherapy Neurological Rehabilitation Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy Sports Physiotherapy Community-Based Rehabilitation Research Methodology & Biostatistics Conduct and supervise practical and clinical training sessions.

Develop and update curriculum as per regulatory and university norms. Prepare lesson plans, academic documentation, and assessment tools. Implement innovative teaching methodologies and simulation-based learning.

Clinical & Research Responsibilities Associate Professor Publish research papers in UGC-CARE / Scopus indexed journals. Guide postgraduate dissertations and student research projects. Participate in funded research proposals (ICMR, DST, etc.).

Supervise clinical case studies and rehabilitation protocols. Present research at conferences and professional forums. Professor Lead research initiatives and clinical research units.

Secure major research grants and consultancy projects. Supervise Ph.D. scholars and research fellows.

Publish extensively in high-impact journals. Establish collaborations with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and sports institutions. Promote evidence-based practice and innovation in physiotherapy care.

Academic Leadership & Administration Associate Professor Contribute to curriculum development and Board of Studies. Assist in NAAC/NIRF documentation and accreditation processes. Organize workshops, CME programs, and FDPs.

Coordinate clinical postings and internship programs. Professor Provide strategic leadership to the department. Mentor junior faculty members.

Participate in Academic Council and institutional policy decisions. Ensure compliance with UGC and professional council guidelines. Strengthen departmental research output and institutional rankings.

Eligibility Criteria Associate Professor Master’s Degree (MPT) in relevant specialization. Ph.D. in Physiotherapy or related discipline (as per norms).

Minimum 8 years of teaching/clinical/research experience. Required research publications as per UGC guidelines. Experience guiding PG students preferred.

Professor Ph.D. in Physiotherapy or related discipline. Minimum 12–15 years of academic/clinical/research experience.

Significant publication record in indexed journals. Experience supervising doctoral research. Demonstrated academic and administrative leadership.

Desirable Competencies Strong clinical expertise and patient management skills. Experience in evidence-based rehabilitation protocols. Grant writing and funded project exposure.

Knowledge of accreditation and quality assurance standards. Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills. Performance Expectations Achievement of annual research and publication targets.

High-quality clinical training and student outcomes. Contribution to accreditation, rankings, and institutional development. Active involvement in university committees and professional bodies.
