Job Title : Palo Alto Network Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India (Indiranagar 1st Stage, Off 100 Feet Road)

Experience: 3-5 Years

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls in a service operations environment.
2. Educational Qualification: BSC/BCA/BE/MCA/MSC (CS or Elec.)
3. Strong knowledge of Palo Alto NGFWs, VPNs, and routing/switching via GUI & CLI.
4. Experience installing and supporting Palo Alto Security Appliances.
5. Preferred: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE7-8) certification.
6. Additional: CCNP certification or higher.
7. Knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, etc.).
8. Proficient in Palo Alto features like Panorama, WildFire, GlobalProtect, and SSL decryption.
9. Familiar with data centre environments and hosted/cloud deployments.
10. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
11. Ability to prioritize and manage high workloads under strict SLAs.
12. Flexibility to work outside of business hours as needed.
13. Capable of maintaining composure under pressure.

Key responsibilities of the job
1. Oversee the management and upgrading of client Palo Alto firewall solutions and associated networking devices to maintain optimal security and performance.
2. Possess extensive knowledge of protocols and deployment methodologies for Palo Alto firewalls.
3. Provide expert-level support to internal teams and clients regarding Palo Alto hardware and software.
4. Skilled in troubleshooting VPN solutions, including GlobalProtect.
5. Lead the design, installation, and configuration of Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring adherence to best practices.
6. Create and maintain detailed documentation for installations, configurations, and security policies.
7. Facilitate training sessions for clients and internal teams on firewall management and security protocols.
8. Resolve critical issues during production outages and emergencies efficiently.
9. Conduct proactive assessments and reviews of client network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
10. Proficient in utilizing Wireshark and other protocol analysis tools.
