We are looking for a highly motivated SDE 2 to join a fast-growing consumer healthcare startup building scalable digital products and technology-driven customer experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact applications that directly influence user engagement, product performance, and business growth in a dynamic startup environment.

As an SDE 2, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA teams, and fellow engineers to build reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality software in fast-paced agile teams.

This position requires strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to take ownership of features from concept to deployment. Candidates with experience in Java-based backend development and React-based frontend applications will have an added advantage.

Requirements

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
• Build responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.
• Develop efficient APIs, business logic, and backend integrations to support application functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and technical brainstorming sessions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across systems and environments.
• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, deployment processes, and engineering documentation.
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure high-quality releases and seamless user experiences.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned modules and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development with strong programming fundamentals.
• Good understanding of frontend and backend development concepts.
• Experience working with Java-based applications and backend services is a plus.
• Familiarity with React and modern frontend development practices is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, system design principles, and application architecture.
• Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative engineering environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows.
• Passion for building customer-focused digital products in a startup ecosystem.
