Role Description This is a full-time Automation Engineer role based in Rudrapur with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some flexibility for work from home. The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation solutions for industrial and manufacturing processes, including configuration and programming of PLCs, HMIs, and related control equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing process requirements, preparing control logic, integrating electrical and instrumentation components, and supporting commissioning and startup activities at client sites. The role involves diagnosing issues in automation systems, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to ensure high equipment uptime and process stability. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, support preventive maintenance planning, and provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Automation and Process Control, including PLC/HMI configuration and control logic development.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to industrial control panels, wiring, and safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience or demonstrated interest in Automated systems integration.
  • Proven Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving faults in control systems, instrumentation, and field devices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related engineering field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and basic networking concepts is an advantage.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site and remotely.
  • Willingness to visit client locations and production sites in support of installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
