Job Description
Role Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of editorial quality across pharmaceutical and healthcare communication materials. You will act as the lead copy editor for assigned brands, driving accuracy, consistency, and compliance across deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead copy editor for at least one brand and provide backup support across additional brands
- Copyedit, fact-check, and proofread promotional and educational content for physicians, healthcare professionals, and patients across print and digital formats
- Review materials across the lifecycle—from manuscript development to final production
- Collaborate closely with Account Services, Copywriters, and Art Directors to ensure content meets standards of accuracy, clarity, readability, and brand alignment
- Support teams with literature research and article retrieval
- Develop and maintain brand-specific style guides to ensure consistency
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with global creative agency teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams including designers, writers, and account stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs
Candidate Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in healthcare communications or pharmaceutical advertising agencies
- Educational background in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related disciplines
- Strong working knowledge of the AMA Manual of Style (mandatory)
- Prior experience in pharma advertising agencies, in-house agencies, or medical publishing preferred
- Exposure to copyediting in regulated environments is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative setup
- Excellent attention to detail, language proficiency, and editorial judgment
