Business Intel Engineer, GO-AI

We collaborate with customers across Amazon worldwide to conceive, develop, prototype, and deploy intelligent robotic systems that push the boundaries of industrial automation.\n\nWithin Amazon Robotics, the Global Operations - Artificial Intelligence (GO-AI) team enables Amazon to accelerate and scale the next generation of AI-powered robotic solutions. We're transforming how complex visual reasoning tasks are performed across Amazon's robotics operations, moving from traditional manual data annotation processes to state-of-the-art foundation model solutions.\nAs a Business Intelligence Engineer on GO-AI's Technology & Development Team, you'll work with cross-functional teams (Science, Software, Data, BIE) managing massive-scale, proprietary datasets to develop foundation models that achieve human-level performance on complex real-world tasks. Your work will directly impact millions of daily operations across Amazon's global fulfillment network.\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to work with a team building AI systems that operate at Amazon scale while solving novel technical challenges in computer vision, natural language processing, and human-AI collaboration.

You'll collaborate with world-class scientists, engineers, and operations teams to deploy state-of-the-art research into production systems that deliver real-world impact at global scale.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n• Support leadership decision-making by deep-diving into business hypotheses and anecdotes.\n• Design and automate ETL pipelines for business metrics.\n• Design insightful dashboards and reports for a senior leadership with a mixture of technical and non-technical backgrounds.\n• Research the most appropriate methodologies for a given analytical problem.\n• Contribute to key business documents.\n• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business domains, requirements, and expectations.\n• Work with owners of data source systems to gain insights into capabilities and limitations.\n• Manage the timeline and deliverables of projects, anticipate risks and resolve issues.\n• Adopt best practices in reporting: data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation.\n• Have knowledge of Generative AI solutions in this space to know when to apply what to solve business problems.\n• Excellence verbal and written communication skills.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\n- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience\n- 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience\n- 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience\n- 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience\n- 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience\n- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools\n- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines\n- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab\n- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift\n- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets\n- Experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling\n- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or robotic solutions\n\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
