Data Analyst - Government Projects ( Consulting Organization)

Role Overview :\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to support in a Government of Meghalaya project. The candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial and taxation data, generating actionable insights, and supporting decision-making for revenue enhancement initiatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to taxation and revenue.\n\n- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.\n\n- Work closely with government officials, including Commissioners and officers, to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.\n\n- Provide insights and recommendations to support policy decisions and revenue augmentation strategies.\n\n- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across various systems.\n\n- Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualification :\n\n- Proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).\n\n- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI .\n\n- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets .\n\n- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics required\n\n- Excellent English communication and inter personal skills\n\n- Understanding data modeling and analytics concepts.\n\n- Basic knowledge of GST and taxation frameworks in India.\n\n- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\n- Ability to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.\n\nAdditional Requirements/ perks :\n\n- This is a client-facing, on-site role requiring physical presence at the Government of Meghalaya office.\n\n- Quarterly flyback to home location will be provided.\n\n- Accommodation, including lodging and fooding, will be provided at a guest house.\n\n- Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic government environment.\n\nImportant points :\n\n- Notice Period Immediate to 30 days (Max)\n\n- Relocation Benefit Yes (In addition the fooding, lodging and quarterly fly back to the home location of the candidate will be taken care of\n\n- It's a full-time on-site role (5 days every week) role
