You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.\n\nThere's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance.
You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead daily operations for Mainframe (Batch/Console), Tech Support, and iSeries.\n\nManage shift schedules, staffing, and LPAR/batch coverage.\n\nAct as lead during Sev1/Sev2 incidents; drive SWAT calls and resolution.\n\nConduct status calls, turnover meetings, and participate in change management.\n\nServe as primary customer contact; handle escalations and communicate updates.\n\nEnsure accurate incident reporting, RCA documentation, and SLA compliance.\n\nMonitor batch processing and share daily status reports.\n\nMaintain documentation and drive process improvements.\n\nSupervise team performance, provide mentoring, and ensure process adherence.\n\nOne of the benefits of Kyndryl is that we work with clients in a variety of industries, from banking to retail. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\n\nRequired Technical and Professional Expertise\n10+ Yrs Experience and Strong knowledge of IBM AS400 / iSeries (IBM i OS) and system operations.\n\nStrong experience in Mainframe Operations (z/OS, JCL), Batch Processing, Console Ops, and iSeries\n\nKnowledge of enterprise infrastructure support and LPAR environments\n\nExperience with scheduling tools (Control-M, CA7, TWS)\n\nHands-on experience with ITSM/Remedy and incident management processes\n\nStrong SLA management and operational governance knowledge\n\nProven ability to lead Sev1/Sev2 incidents and SWAT calls\n\nExperience managing 24x7 production support teams\n\nExcellent customer communication and stakeholder management\n\nStrong documentation, reporting, and RCA capabilities\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments\n\nKnowledge of ITIL processes and KPI/SLA tracking\n\nPreferred Technical and Professional Experience\nBachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent practical experience\n\nExperience with an ITIL driven service organization\n\nSix Sigma, PMP, and/or ITIL certifications\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
