You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.\n\nAs a Computer Operator you will be on the technical frontline - performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve JCL abends, override issues, and symbolic parameter problems.\n\nAllocate and manage BIOS, TIF, GDG, and VSAM datasets.\n\nIdentify ownership of Production and QA jobs and coordinate with appropriate development groups.\n\nPerform file out-of-space (FOOS) recovery and support batch/online recovery activities.\n\nCoordinate batch job restarts, abend recovery, and customer escalations.\n\nUtilize break-glass procedures for emergency production support access when required.\n\nMonitor and manage OPC/TWS job scheduling activities including hold/release actions, predecessor/successor analysis, and database lookups.\n\nSupport NDM/Connect: Direct operations including process monitoring, troubleshooting transfer failures, DR transfers, and client file transfers.\n\nPerform PDX activities including installs, promotes, backouts, and password reset support using Power IDs.\n\nManage ITSM incidents, problem tickets, FACHA/Hot Item creation, ticket reassignment, and closure activities.\n\nProcess TSSR work orders, manage production/QA job requests, and respond to operational emails within SLA timelines.\n\nExecute weekend IPL support activities, validate environment availability, and coordinate fixes for out-of-sequence abends.\n\nEnsure Production, QA, and Test regions are operational following maintenance and IPL activities.\n\nIf you have a passion for technology and a desire to continually improve your skills - this is the position for you.

And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.\nRequired Technical and Professional Expertise\n10+ years Experience Mainframe Production Support professional responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining batch processing, scheduling, file transfers, and production environments across Production, QA, and Test regions.\n\nResponsible for Mainframe Production Support activities, ensuring smooth system operations.\n\nPerform JCL troubleshooting and resolve abends efficiently to maintain job stability.\n\nManage job scheduling and monitoring using OPC/TWS.\n\nHandle file transfers using NDM / Connect Direct.\n\nManage datasets including VSAM, GDG, BIOS, and TIF.\n\nProvide support for PDX deployments and related activities.\n\nManage and resolve issues through ITSM ticketing systems.\n\nMonitor batch jobs and perform recovery actions when required.\n\nHandle incident and problem management to ensure minimal downtime.\n\nSupport IPL activities as part of system maintenance.\n\nDemonstrate strong analytical and communication skills in day-to-day operations.\n\nPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise\nProvides end-to-end support for batch operations, job recovery, incident management, and weekend IPL activities while ensuring high system availability and timely issue resolution.\n\nDemonstrates strong expertise in JCL, OPC/TWS scheduling, NDM/Connect: Direct transfers, VSAM and GDG dataset management, PDX deployment activities, ITSM ticket handling, and production support processes.\n\nCollaborates with development teams, storage teams, clients, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues, perform recoveries, manage escalations, and support critical business operations.\n\nBeing You\nThe "Kyn" in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
