  • Proficient in patient care, offering compassionate support and attending to their needs before and after surgeries.
  • Experience working as a staff nurse, demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills within medical teams.
  • Ability to handle medical instruments and surgical tools, ensuring they meet required standards for surgical procedures.
  • Capability to maintain composure and efficiently manage work in high-pressure environments like cardiac operation theaters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, critical in prepping procedures and maintaining accurate medical records during surgeries.
  • Sound decision-making skills, essential for providing immediate and accurate responses to the dynamic needs of the operating room.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment is sterilized and functional before cardiac procedures.
  • Assist the surgical team during cardiac operations, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments efficiently.
  • Monitor patient vitals during procedures and provide necessary interventions under the surgeon's direction.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to deliver optimal patient outcomes during and after surgeries.
  • Educate patients and their families about postoperative care, ensuring understanding and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate surgical records, including instrument counts and patient information, ensuring compliance with medical standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to expand skills and stay updated on advancements in cardiac surgical care.
  • Support the medical team and provide guidance to junior staff to foster a cooperative and productive work environment.
