Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of the PeopleSoft environment across multiple instances (production and non-production) for a variety of customers. The role involves managing application configurations, performing database administration (SQL Server), handling WebLogic administration, Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration, cloning environments, PeopleTools upgrades, applying CPU patches, and ensuring overall system performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of the PeopleSoft environment across multiple instances (production and non-production) for a variety of customers. The role involves managing application configurations, performing database administration (SQL Server), handling WebLogic administration, Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration, cloning environments, PeopleTools upgrades, applying CPU patches, and ensuring overall system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Configuration:
- Administer and maintain PeopleSoft environments (including application servers, web servers, and database servers).
- Configure and support PeopleSoft applications and components, including PeopleTools and custom modules.
- Ensure proper configuration of system components, including application servers, batch servers, and process schedulers.

Database Administration (SQL Server):
- Manage SQL Server databases for PeopleSoft applications, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Perform SQL Server database configurations and ensure high availability and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance and conduct routine maintenance.

WebLogic Administration:
- Administer Oracle WebLogic Server for PeopleSoft application services and ensure the WebLogic domains are properly configured and running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WebLogic server-related issues.
- Apply patches and perform upgrades to WebLogic to ensure compatibility with PeopleSoft.

Single Sign-On (SSO) Configuration:
- Implement and configure SSO integrations for PeopleSoft environments to streamline user authentication and access control.
- Work with security teams to ensure that SSO configurations align with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Environment Cloning & Deployment:
- Perform cloning of production environments to non-production (e.g., dev, test, staging) for testing, development, and troubleshooting purposes.
- Ensure all configurations and data are properly cloned and functional in the non-prod environments.

PeopleTools & Patching:
- Manage and perform PeopleTools upgrades and updates in coordination with project timelines and testing.
- Apply and manage Critical Patch Updates (CPU), bundles, and patches for PeopleSoft systems to ensure the environment stays current and secure.

Load Balancer Configuration & Support:
- Configure and manage load balancers to ensure high availability and proper load distribution across PeopleSoft environments.
- Troubleshoot load balancer-related issues to maintain optimal application performance.

Ongoing Maintenance & Support:
- Provide ongoing support for production and non-production environments, ensuring system availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, application configuration, and integration.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance scalability and reliability.

Collaboration & Team Support:
- Work closely with other teams (Development, Security, Networking, etc.) to ensure smooth integration and operation of PeopleSoft systems.
- Document and maintain operational procedures, guidelines, and troubleshooting steps for internal use and training.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior system administrators and other team members.

Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in PeopleSoft System Administration, including configuring and maintaining databases, application servers, web servers, and PeopleTools.
- Expertise in SQL Server administration, including database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting in a PeopleSoft environment.
- Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and integration with PeopleSoft.
- Experience in load balancer configuration to ensure high availability for PeopleSoft systems.
- Strong knowledge of PeopleTools upgrades, Critical Patch Updates (CPUs), and bundle patching processes.
- Familiarity with cloning PeopleSoft environments from PROD to non-prod (e.g., dev, test, staging).

Experience & Background:
- 7+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft System Administrator or in a similar role with expertise in SQL Server and WebLogic administration.
- Proven experience in supporting PeopleSoft applications, including application configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrade management.
- Experience in managing and configuring PeopleSoft environments in both cloud and on-premise settings.

Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve system issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple environments and tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS) for PeopleSoft hosting is a plus.
- PeopleSoft certification (e.g., PeopleTools, System Administration) is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to manage configurations and patches.
