Summary Of Position
The Senior Manager, Procurement Indirect Commodity is responsible for executing and implementing effective procurement strategies of Indirect spend commodities such as IT / Software , Marketing , HR, Professional services and real estate from initial identification of needs through delivery. The successful candidate will develop and execute the commodity strategy , partnering with the stakeholders on budget management , drive cost savings/ productivity , mitigating supply chain risks and fostering strong supplier relationship.. Lastly, this role cultivates team morale and motivation by sharing experience and providing constructive feedback.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement comprehensive Commodity Strategies aligned with the overall procurement enterprise and business goals.
- Management of negotiations, contract, and Business contingency plan for applicable Indirect category. Domain expertise on strategic sourcing, RFP/RFI, Negotiation, category strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Financial analysis and modeling, maintenance, negotiation, renegotiation, and management of agreements and contracts.
- Develops and maintains internal education communication processes and other tools to enhance contract performance, identification, and compliance.
- Plans, prioritizes, collaborates, and communicates information regarding projects, issues, and negotiations to ensure relationships are maintained.
- Builds relationships through industry contacts, professional organizations, and individuals.
- Communicates clearly, effectively, and respectfully to employees or supplier partners.
- Negotiates contracts based on strategic and financial goals, prior contract performance, projected contract performance, and thresholds.
- Analyzes and finalizes contractual language for operational and financial appropriateness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics and emerging technologies related to assigned commodities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize supplier selection and performance.
- The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.
Qualifications Expected For Position
- 7+ years of procurement experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing in healthcare services or a SaaS Organization in the HC division.
- Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies.
- Experience in supplier management and negotiations.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business-plus-experience in category management; or a high school diploma with 7+ years in a sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management role.
