Type: Contract / Full-Time


About the Role

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow ITSM + ITAM Developer to design, develop, and enhance solutions across IT Service Management and IT Asset Management modules. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in implementing ITSM processes and managing asset lifecycles, along with integrations and automation to improve operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

1. ITSM Development & Customization

  • Develop and customize ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
  • Configure SLAs, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and notifications.
  • Implement and optimize workflows using Flow Designer and traditional workflows.

2. ITAM Implementation & Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Configure and manage Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Implement end-to-end asset lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement).
  • Ensure proper mapping between Assets and Configuration Items (CIs).

3. CMDB & Discovery

  • Maintain and enhance CMDB structure and relationships.
  • Work with Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure accurate CI data population.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and duplicate records.

4. Integration Development

  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with procurement, inventory, and external asset systems.
  • Ensure data synchronization and consistency across platforms.

5. Automation & Workflow Optimization

  • Automate ITSM and ITAM processes using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
  • Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual tasks and optimizing workflows.

6. Reporting & Data Management

  • Develop reports and dashboards for ITSM and ITAM metrics.
  • Monitor SLA performance, asset utilization, and compliance status.
  • Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and governance.

7. Platform Support & Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and enhancements.
  • Follow best practices for update sets, version control, and deployments.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Strong experience in ITSM modules and ITAM (HAM/SAM)
  • Experience working on real-time implementations and support projects

Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
  • ITSM / ITAM Certification – Preferred
  • ITIL Foundation – Good to have

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
  • Experience in ITAM (HAM, SAM, Asset lifecycle management)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting
  • Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Good understanding of CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Knowledge of ACLs, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Client Scripts
